SnapAdd Privacy Policy

 

Preamble

 

SnapAdd is a service offered by the company Zimiq. We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our commitment to communicating our privacy practices to our visitors. We realize the importance of feeling safe online and want the user (‘you’) to feel comfortable while using SnapAdd and website.  The Policy below outlines the privacy practices solely for  SnapAdd , as of 03 October 2016. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and subject to, the Terms and Conditions.  We reserve the right at our discretion to amend this Privacy Policy at any time, by posting the amended terms on the SnapAdd website. By registering for the SnapAdd  service, you explicitly agree to be bound by all terms and conditions described herein, including any amendments made by us that are published herein.

 

Information collected

 

Registration data. In order to provide you with personalized services and features, we ask you to register on the SnapAdd website and establish your personal profile. During the registration process we can request, but not exclusively, your name, gender, birthday, mobile phone number, Snapchat username, country, interests, “looking for” etc. 

Location data. If you have entered your country while entering your registration data, this information will be shared with other users of  SnapAdd.

Cookies. When you visit the SnapAdd website, we send cookies to your computer or your mobile device. Cookies are small files with a series of alphanumeric characters. We use cookies to identify your mobile device or computer, which allows you to log in faster and more quickly navigate through the SnapAdd website. Cookies can also transmit information about how you use the SnapAdd website.

We use permanent cookies and session cookies. Permanent cookies remain on your hard disk or mobile device after you close your browser, and these cookies are used the next time you visit the SnapAdd website. These cookies can be removed by changing your privacy settings on your browser.

Session cookies are temporary and disappear when you close your browser.

You can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to inform you when cookies are sent. Take note that some functions of the SnapAdd website may possibly not function properly if you disable cookies.

Identifiers. We may access so-called “identifiers” and collect, monitor and store them. If you have access to the SnapAdd website via a mobile device, this involves device identifiers. If you have access to the SnapAdd website via your computer, it involves your browser. “Device identifiers” are small data files or similar data structures that are stored or linked to your mobile device and that can identify your mobile device uniquely and be used by us to improve your use of the SnapAdd website. Device identifiers can be stored in connection with hardware and/or software data of your mobile device or in connection with other information that we send to your device.

Identifiers may contain information about how you use the SnapAdd website. Device identifiers do not collect any personal data about you, but can be used in combination with other information linked to your personal data. An identifier may be stored on your mobile device or computer so that you can log in faster to the SnapAdd website and make better use of our services. If you block or limit the use of the device identifiers, some functions or parts of the SnapAdd website may not function properly.

Log file information. Log file information is reported automatically by your browser or mobile device every time you access a web page. If you use the SnapAdd website, our server automatically stores the log file information. This information may consist of, but is not limited to: Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, type of browser, referring / exit pages and URLs, the number of clicks, information about links, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other similar information.

 

Third Party Networks.  We use a third party advertising company to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet. That advertising company may also collect anonymous information about your use of the SnapAdd website. 

 

Data from third parties. We can collect personal data about you that we have obtained legally from third parties. For the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, we can combine the personal data about you that we have received.

Purpose of collecting personal data and use of personal data

 

We use the above-mentioned personal data to perform the services that you use on or by means of the SnapAdd website, for statistical analysis and for improving our services. Please note that for the purpose of your use of the SnapAdd website, your personal data may be shown to other users of the SnapAdd website, e.g. to get them in contact with you  by enabling them to download your Snapchat account username into Snapchat. We may also use your personal data to inform you about services and promotions if you have not objected to this when signing up for our services.

 

Providing personal data to third parties

 

We do not sell, pass or disclose your personal data to third parties, except in the below circumstances:

 

We may employ third parties, so-called processors of personal data, to perform our services and for the purpose of processing personal data. These processors work on our instructions and will only process your personal data on behalf of and for use by us.

 

We may share personal or aggregated personally identifiable information with advertisers and other third parties for marketing and promotional purposes. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf. These companies may employ cookies and action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure advertising effectiveness.

 

In addition, if we want to effect a merger, takeover, sale or other transaction whereby our database may be acquired by a third party, we may disclose your personal data to our advisors and to the third party, both before and after the transaction, exclusively for the purpose of

facilitating and effecting that transaction. If such a transaction is completed, you will be informed about the transaction and we will transfer the ownership and the management of your personal data to the third party, subject to all provisions and limitations of this Privacy Policy. If the transaction is not completed, we will prohibit the third party from further using your personal data or disclosing it in any way and   we will also require that third party to securely delete the personal data

 

We can also transfer your personal data to a third party to which we transfer our rights and obligations on the basis of our agreement with you.

We can provide your personal data to third parties if we believe in good faith that this is necessary (a) in order to comply with the law or court rulings; and (b) in order to protect or defend the rights of Zimiq.

 

Special personal data

 

Certain personal data that you provide to us can be designated as ‘special personal data’. Examples of this kind of personal data include information about your racial or ethnic background, political beliefs, religion, state of health or sexual preference. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you give us explicit permission to process such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy if you have provided it to us.

 

Protection of minors

Protecting the privacy of minors is important to us. For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain personally identifiable information or non-personally-identifiable information from persons under 18 years of age, and no part of our services is directed to persons under 18. If we learn that personally identifiable information of persons under 18 years of age has been collected through the services without verified parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.

 

 

Transfer of personal data outside of the EEA or your own country

 

Currently we store our data file centrally in The Netherlands. You agree that we can transfer your personal data to third parties in other countries for the purpose of centralising the files or for processing as described in this Privacy Policy. Some of those countries might not be part of the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) or are outside your own country. Countries outside of the EEA or countries other than your own country might not have the same laws for data protection as the EEA or your own country. If we transfer your information to countries outside the EEA or your own country, we will take measures to ensure that your privacy rights remain protected in the same way as inside the EEA or your own country. In addition, your data, if you use our services while you are outside the EEA, can be transferred outside the EEA in order to supply you with these services. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you also provide permission for the transfer of your personal data outside the EEA or your own country for the purposes described. At your request we will provide you with a list of the countries to which your personal data is transferred.

 

 

Online communications in public forums


Please be aware that personally identifiable information voluntarily included and transmitted online by you in your profile or other public forum may be viewed and used by others. We are not able to control such uses of your personally identifiable information, and by using such services you assume the risk that the personally identifiable information provided by you may be viewed and used by third parties. You also assume the risk that you might be exposed to objectionable content and conduct by using public forums.

The SnapAdd website may contain links to internet sites and advertisements (‘external links’). You acknowledge that we are not responsible for, and have no liability as a result of, the availability of external links or their content. We cannot be held responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these advertisements or website. 

 

Security

 

We have implemented and follow commercially reasonable industry standard technical and procedural measures to protect against unauthorized access and use of your personal information. However, do note that neither we nor any other website can fully eliminate these risks. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information and transactions via the internet and you cannot hold us liable for a breach of the security, unless this is the result of negligence or intentional failure of Zimiq. In the unlikely event that an unauthorized third party compromises our security measures, we will not be responsible for any damages directly or indirectly caused by an unauthorized third party’s ability to view, use or disseminate such information., unless this is the result of negligence or intentional failure of Zimiq

 

Cancellation of subscription

 

When you cancel your subscription your profile will remain visible to other users. Your profile and other personal data we may have collected is stored in the SnapAdd database and will remain in this database for a period of 2 years after you have cancelled your subscription or after you have used the application for the last time, whichever is the latest, unless we, for reasons of any statutory provision, are obliged to store (parts of) your personal data for a longer period. After cancellation of your subscription, none of the functions of  SnapAdd will be accessible to you anymore.

 

 

Deletion of profile and other personal data

 

Apart from cancelling your subscription, you also have the possibility to delete your profile by deleting your account. By deleting your profile, you ensure that your profile cannot be viewed by other users or yourself anymore. Please note  that, after deletion the profile, all personal data is deleted, with exception of the mobile number used to set up the profile, the newsletter preference selection, log and timestamp of profile creation, as well as, the log and timestamp of the request to delete the profile. This information remains stored in our database for a period of 2 year after deletion of your profile unless we, for reasons of any statutory provision, are obliged to store (parts of) this data for a longer period. If you want to have the profile and other personal data we may have collected removed from our database before the end of this period of 2 years, please contact our Customer Care service by sending an email to [email protected].

 

In general, your personal data is stored by Zimiq for no more than two years after your last use of  SnapAdd , unless we, for reasons of any statutory provision, are obliged to store (parts of) your personal data for a longer period.

If you want us to delete all your personal data, you can send an email free of charge to [email protected]. and state this.


Access to data

 

On request and upon verification of your identity, you can inspect the personal data that we have collected about you, and if necessary, correct it. In order to make use of this right, you can send an email to [email protected].
